Wabash senior baseball player Shea Beauchamp was selected this past weekend to be a member of the North All-Star team by the IHSBCA. Beauchamp is the eighth baseball player in school history to be selected for the North/South series but is the first Apache baseball player selected since 1991 (Gary Cooper).
The North/South All-Star series brings 50 of the top seniors in Indiana together for three games. The North/South series this year will be held on July 13th and 14th at Wabash College in Crawfordsville and will consist of three nine inning games, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
Beauchamp led the Apaches this past season with a .582 batting average, he also led the Apaches in HR (8), Doubles (12), RBI’s (44), and Hits (46). Shea was selected 1st team all-conference for the 3rd time and was selected to the all-district senior team as the number one infielder. Shea will be continuing his baseball career at Huntington University next fall.
