The Wabash Middle School Girls Cross Country team came back to their stomping grounds to compete at the Wabash Invitiational. Determined to defend their home course and represent the name on their jerseys, the Lady Apaches ran some of their season best times.

A 6th grader, Ivy Beamer flew through the finish with a time of 15:09 and came in as the first Wabash Apache. Grace LaMar, an 8th grader, followed in with a 15:47. The trio of 5th grade girls finished off for the team to compete for a team score. Ava Bishir finished with a time of 16:16 with her teammate Ashleigh Hadley coming in with a time of 16:33. Coming in next for the Lady Apaches was Maya Howard with a time of 16:56. The girls walked with 9th place as a team.

The Lady Apaches set out to defend their home course and did so with pride and great accomplishment for the season. Next weekend the ladies will finish off their season with their Conference meet held at Tipp Valley.
