The Lady Apaches returned to Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, October 13th to compete for their chance at Semi-State at the Regional Qualifier.
With perfect running weather, the two Lady Apaches set off to run the race of their lives with the hopes of meeting their goals as they competed with 78 other athletes. Both ladies came home with times to be proud of. Whitney Working, a senior, placed 25th with a career best time of 20:59. As a Junior, Angel Wehrly ran the best time of her career at 23:14 and came home with a satisfying place of 58th. As an individual, Whitney advanced to Semi-State for the second time in her career.
Working will continue her season for yet another week as she prepares for her race at the New Haven Semi-State held in Fort Wayne on October 20th.
